Tuesday April 8th

Busy, busy busy....almost too much going on....

Reminders

please bring hot lunch forms for Thursday 10th
Biennale permission forms are still needed (have 16 of 26 so far) Thanks :)
for the project tomorrow April 9th students are asked to bring a picture of print out of their homeland (or their parents/grandparents homeland)
also a concrete object like a recipe, a piece of clothing, a coin, a piece of jewlery - something that they can connect to for particpation in a show and tell (oral narrative)
Friday 11th is a pro-d day school is not in session
Evan's Lake camp forms and deposits are due next week please take time to read and sign the permission form sent home today

journal writing - the Great Canadian Take-out (picture of a grizzly bear sniffing around an unsecured tent)
brain storming words thst would help us make sense of the picture
writing a paragraph to accompany the picture

computer session - used time to get students to find pictures and 'talisman' for today's project session after lunch (thanks to Mrs. Binning for giving us her computer lab time this morning)

work on personal flags- progress is being made (albeit rather slowly for some) but they are coming together well generally - there are always going to be a few slow pokes!

1-2:30 session #3 for the Biennale project wirh Laura and program director, Katherine Tong
today we explored story telling in words and pictures with a game
analysed and created concrete poems based on our cultural talismans

2:30-2:50 go over the camp details and permission - sent home with all students
pack up and head out to the structure
review the homework for Laura tomorrow and spend
last ten minutes - to enjoy the rain free outdoors

crazy day....crazy week and it is only Tuesday
have a goos a ggog I mean a good evening!!!! Sheesh, I can't even type anymore!
