The evenings that I have meetings after school always throw me for a loop because everything is pushed back. I have just sat down and it is 10pm!!

Doesn't life seem so busy? I don't think it is just me who is experiencing it....things are a little crazy and I find the students are feeling it too.

Language arts : spelling practice
Review verb recognition activity
Quick instruction on writing paragraph answers from a literary selection (read the passage(s) with the question in mind, write a topic sentence referring to the question asked, provide relevant details from the reading to provide evidence to back up your opinion and complete with a concluding sentence)

We worked on the story by Gary Paulson, The River.

Math 6 as per usual with Mr. Parker
Math 7 time was used for the second activity for the FSA assessment which was the reading question answer. We completed it at the computers on MS word.

Remind me not to try to negotiate with 12 year olds!! Thought I was doing them a favour providing choice for a gym session but no consensus was reached and it all become overly complicated and included TA Mrs. Wolfe to help us manage the session(s) consider ing it was difficult for me to be two places at once.

Art and chapter 2 of Waiting for Normal which so far seems to be fitting the bill for a class read aloud (at least the students are asking for more already - which is good)

Dismissal time crept up fast.

Meeting after school at HSSS Mr. Parker and I applied for a Bienniel arts grant earlier this school year and we were successful. Now it is case of be careful what you wish for as we met with the artist tonight at the high school as while she was lovely, I do not do well with 'organic processes that will come together on their own' if you get what I mean. I guess that is why I am not an 'artiste'. Once I try to make sense of what the project will look like,  I will absolutely give everyone more information.

It sounds great just have no idea how the organic process will reveal itself to me!
