Late post tonight.
It was a strange kind of Monday for the weather - it was warm in the morning - too warm in class so we opened all the windows and then it suddenly got very cold!

Our day
Physical education
Basketball drill practice in small groups and then team scrimmages using the concept of no dribbling and ET meaning everybody touches the ball before any baskets can be shot. Once a basket has been shot or scored the everybody touches starts again. It is surprising how much they played together today - trying to get them to call on each other for support instead of a couple of dribble and basket stars. I was proud of the work and teamwork today everybody was involved.
Spelling return last week and prep this week
Today's language puzzle was on verbs
Math 7
subtracting integers using the addition method (also taught how to use integer chips but some brains are not clear on the borrowing chips using the zero principle to subtract)
Read to self
Just remembered that I completely forgot to distribute the December reading record!! I will put it on tomorrow's list of things to do.
Extra gym session for the majority of the class (they missed last Wednesday due to parent meetings) so today they joined Mrs. Paxton and the kindergarteners from 1:30 -2:30 which allowed me to catch up with some students who had missed some instruction and helped get others organized.
Personal planning activity called Predicting the Weather which I have introduced before in which students make an effort to forward think on some scenarios and what possible consequences there might be to certain choices.
Quick day today
Dismissal have a good what is left of the evening
