Mr. Parker and I had a positive and productive day with the returning and new students.
We shared the time to today and covered a number of activites and even had a lively celtic fiddle performance that the students seemed to enjoy this afternoon.
Our day consisted of a language arts session reviewing the parts of speech using the Mad Lib format
creation of name plates for ease in remembering everyone's name
math session in which we started the organizational planning for the Math 7 program- a brochure and a preant communication letter was given to students to take home for parents perusal but don't be too disappointed if it doesn't make it home this evening!!

Phys Ed- cooperative and skills based throwing games after a run around the football field
Everyone seemed to have a decent experience today and hopefully the numbers will all add up and we can begin to look at our combined grade 6/7 class(es).
Mr. Parker and I had the opportunity to plan our Friday together and will be starting the year with our classes using the same activites and format.
