Sorry the post is so late. I just had one of those days that hasn't stopped until now.
After school dismissed at 2pm today, parent-teacher interviews went until about 5pm and then I picked up my son from his math tutor, headed home to eat and then to the curling club for a 7pm semi final game (top four). After the game (we won) we had our annual AGM and so I am finally home. My last curling game of the season will be the final game this Saturday- wish us luck :)
Thank-you to parents who booked and came to chat with me today about their son's and daughters' learning and the most recent report. I am blessed indeed to have such support and encouragement from my parents. It is a tough part of the teaching job having to both assess and then be able to defend those assessments to students and parents alike. I have found that if I am honest and fair that the parents of my students have my back and for that I am grateful and encouraged to continue doing the best for their children. Thank-you all.
