So far I have a 2:15pm appointment and three more to organize- it is just difficut getting a hold of parents by phine so I need to call later tonight. I have left some phone messages.

Short Story Kadiak (actually it is a rather 'long' short story)
A story set in the wilds of Alaska in which the hunter becomes the hunted after a bull moose decides he has had just about enough of being stalked! Did I mention the bear? A Kodiak bear, no less, appears hungry and persistant and also decides the huynter is looking mighty tasty!
listening activity: Mind Map (the Tony Buzzan type) as I read aloud half of the story
follow up reading activity- read the other half of the story and complete your mind map

Satisfaction Survey for grades 4 and 7 in the lab during the first half of class
Review of the skills learned so far- switched and marked some assignments for each other and returned the worksheet 10.1 for review/study tonight for a Transformations quiz (slides) tomorrow.

lab was a challenge as many students were unable to listen well to directions, spilled the materials and generally were off in all directions. Needless to say the lab was not one of our best and did not work well. Wonder why?
Seems we may have to revert to just covering the theory of the labs after all!
I did my best to muddle through the lesson intent and learning outcomes with Kim's help (our Monday volunteer) and we did manage to compelte a lab activity despite the non compliance and completed a
note tree on Density and what it is.
Disappointing!
Hope everyone has a decent evening and gets some sleep!
