The writing homework in the agenda and the remembering to take it with them is a lot of work!! I have a few who like to sit on their hands while I am reviewing the evening's reminders and homework. I hope they will eventually get into the routine becuse I won't be running after them with forgotten work much longer! Waaaahh!
FYI every night I take some time to go over the board information. Some students have more to write than others. I try to check but can sometimes get distracted by trying to get everyone to participate!
Perhaps the honeymoon is coming to an end :) Thank-you to the parents who have been in touch about missed classes and have come to pick up homework. There seems to be a bad cold bug going around already. I guess we need to build up immunity. Vitamin C everyone.

Music with Ms. Sorban
Math 6 Mr. Parker

Silent Reading
More time for organization of spelling - sent home a list of words and study methods to be kept at home and provided a word study sheet for those students who wanted it. Provided time for study which was not as successful as it will be in future class study sessions! That skill needs more training apparently.
Phys Ed. good gym session today- fitness levels will improve! However, I am very proud of the general togetherness and sportsmanship (and womanship) in the class participation- it was a productive, safe and fun session. Thanks everyone.
I tired to review and solidify our class charter and motto - perhaps this was the wrong time as we didn't get far- some silly interruptions and I became a bit 'naggy' so we will try again tomorrow after a few desks are re-located!
A class charter is our mutual agrement(s) about how we plan to work and play together this year so the spirit of th activity needs to be one of class cooperation and that wasn'r happening with a few students!!
Planners, reminders and dismissal.
Have a great Wednesday evening.
Mrs. J.
