Today just flew right by us while we were busy doing other things...!!!

Homework tonight

• Math 6 complete the T chart worksheet
• Math 7 if not already completed, get the textbook scavenger hunt finished (and if you are taking home your text book, it is important that you bring it back to school tomorrow)
• A few students incluuding Dawson and Derek have not yet completed their paragraphs for the novel chapters 1-5 (the assignment is explained in detail on yesterdays blog post) Due tomorrow.
• a few still have a French section title page to complete

Reminders
communication forms needed from Dylan, Aiden and Derek
communication forms needed from my Math students in Mr. Parker's class: Hunter, Thomas, Ashley and Isaiah
Verification forms are needed from: half of the class. 12 are not yet returned!!
Planner money is over due as are supplies. It is difficult to get the students organized when  they do not have the necessary supplies. I am doing my best to provide loaners.
Grade six (6) immunization forms went home tonight and need to be returned this Thursday
Hot lunch forms went home tonight and are due back by October 4th.
This Friday is a Pro-D day- no school.

Our Day included

daily French
Physical education (gym) group games: the students were stellar today and we all were included and had fun
review of the work on Ocean Debris
Math6 and
Math 7 mostly an organizational day with the index completion and numeration of work completed so far and return of work for review. Introduced some non-traditional methods for long multiplication which rely more on addition skills than on the traditional method (using place value and extending numerals)

Silent reading
visit from public health nurse, Jennifer (immunizatoion forms out)
French l'alphabet francais (check title pages)
Art (continue with project started last week) some amazing and creative used of colour and design :)

Genrally productive but definitely some slow progress for a handful of students. Took a bit longer to do the planners due to the number of reminders and forms going home.
