Busy Monday! Another hot afternoon in class. Our 'indian summer' is lasting lomger than I think we expected. Not complaining- yet!
I'll post homework first and may have to complete the Blog from home later.

Homework
Dragon Keeper novel write a five sentence paragraph to respond to your opinion of the first five chapters
FYI 10 students handed this today in class time
(in class we started this and I shared a plan for the content of the five sentences: 1. say whether or not you like the story so far 2. one sentence about the main characters 3. one sentence about the setting of the story 4. one sentence about the plot to chapter 5 and sentence 5. give your opinion about what you think might happen next or tell me what you think the myserious purple stone is.
Math 7 complete the basic skills  number cross started in class today (I have allowed the use of claculators to check the answer accuracy but I want to see the working)
Math 6 complete the pattern rules worksheet

paragraph writing on first 5 chapters after an instructional guide to how to write a paragraph and what content would be appropriate (see above)

Personal planning: we looked at the results of the Phys. Ed. poster activity (last Thurs.) about our safety, behaviour and expectations in the gym. The students did a great job and we have some very clear ideas in the students own words about our gymnasium and athletic expectations. Tomorrow morning we have a gym session first thing 9-9:45am

I had more planned but that was all we had time for today...
More fun and excitement tomorrow!
Have a great Monday evening.
Mrs. J.
