Homework
asked that students take home and practice some addition of fractions on a new activity sheet handed out today- will they?
** have been asking them to check out the IXL website for on-line practice of all math concepts
Head's Up
Paperwork for the class' year end trip to the Water Park will be distributed tomorrow as will the letters for those students with IEP's with invitations to next week's meetings.
General Day
Bit more like our usual schedule today as the shock of returning to school after two days at camp is becoming a distant memory- (except in my poor body!!)
Welcome back to the rest of the class :) those who took an extra day to get over camp :)
French- Vive le Rap- les exercises A-D - choisis le bon mot, vrai ou faux (dix phrases) etc
Band
Math- completed the last page of the addition of fractions booklet in class together- did ten on the board complete with all steps (working) and answers for the rest (have encouraged student to write down all the answers and use the 'end' information (knowing what the answer should be) to complete the ones they didn't get to for practice!
A new Gr 7 practice activity for adding fractions was distributed today. The peer helpers are doing a great job and the class today (while it took a bit to get it underway) was actually very productive :)
DEAR time - Mrs Cardiff from Trek photography arrived to take the BFF friendship group photos for year end. Good session for the most part- bit of coming and going but it is all good.
Science trying to fit in a couple more activities for the term
2 activities today a word play double puzzle using the chemistry vocabulary and a match up the kitchen chemical names with the everyday kitchen items in the lsit.
Art finished the day working on our various art activites some of which are coming along nicely.
3pm dismissal
The day zipped by- it all seems to be going way too fast
Have a good evening- I'll maybe see some of you at DRS tonight.
Arranged a new seating plan in twos after school tonight as some of the group interaction is getting very silly and some characters need to be separated.
