Wednesday Dec 16th, 2009

Hi folks- tonight is the school Christmas concert and I am in class listening to Frank Sinatra's Rat Pack Christmas compilation of Christmas ditties to get myself in the 'mood'. It's very jazzy in it's production so it's upbeat and some of it is before a live audience in Vegas so you get the 'atmosphere' too with some classics.

The students will be back at 6:15pm.

No homework although there is a Spelling Bee with prizes in class tomorrow so some may be studying the class list!! Don't ask just go with it :) :) :)
Talk about incentive.

Today was - well it's over in a couple of more hours ---kidding!!

General Day
Most of the morning we participated in our school rehearsal for tonight's concert. It was the usual struggle getting all students in the school on and off the stage without incident. We had some time before lunch where I managed to get another chapter of the class novel read aloud while the students finished some art projects and colouring of the snowflakes we cut out yesterday.

It was as in-day at lunch due to the weather so you can imagine they were a bit 'cooped up' all afternoon!!!!
We did some quiet reading, some socials (project), some computers, some art and some singing (well, some sang!!) LOL I am encouraging them to find their own natural register for singing and then just enjoying it enough to 'let it rip'.

It was a day and we still have the concert tonight- see you all then?
Mrs. J.
