Hi all- still having issues with the computer but mangaed to get it going tonight. Yeah!!
Everyone was looking rather sun burned today after the awesome weekend weather. Two more sleeps to Camp :)
We talked today about the chill inside the caves 8 degrees C and the understanding that there will be water (that's what forms cave in the first place). The camp suggests wearing rubber boots or at least having a change of footwear. Bringing a hat and gloves are recommended and I often don't associate May field trips with winter gear but I guess it can get cold and the camp wants to ensure everyone has a few warm up items with them.
I will be meeting the volunteers tonight and we will be going over the ferry and transportation organization.
Class was very difficult today - I sense that the students who are not going on the field trip are feeling a bit out of the 'loop'. Even the Drug and Alcohol presenter felt the change in dynamics today and changed her approach and lesson. There is a very productive core of students whom I would like to thank for all their diligence. It is challenging to keep everyone on task especially when they have decided school is over already!! It would be nice to see some more personal responsibilty.
As for school work- students have a novel assignment which I will provide more time for tomorrow. Word to Ceasar Chapters 4-6.
We did some more work on the Transformation playing card art project.
Math- we reviewed and practiced formula for area and perimeter
French posters are due ASAP with the crossword puzzle
8 students need to bring in their Horne Lake Commitment forms tomorrow signed by their parents.
Start packing for Wednesday and don't forget the bug repellent. See you tomorrow.
