Sorry so late folks- first I had trouble with the classroom computer which took up too much time after school and then the Internet was down when I got home!!! This is my first chance to Blog.
The good news is that there is no homework and given that we have had very little chance for study, I am considering asking the students to study at home and we'll either do the spelling test Friday afternoon or Monday. Today we started our "virtual' tour of the main areas of attraction in Greece based on an educational tour I took there with a group of grade 9 and 10 students afew years ago. I realized today how 'old school' slide projectors are now!!! I'm kind of showing my age by the technology I use (or don't know how to use) LOL.
Congratulations to Liam Barker who took the Logo contest prize. His bold line eagle head won the most votes and he received a cheque for his prize money today. Well done- what a legacy to leave our school, Liam. :) Be proud of yourself.
We have a full school rehearsal for the Voices of Nature tomorrow morning and the band arrives on Friday- the students sounded much more polished today than they did yesterday. It is hard work preparing for performance but Holly is a great director and we are getting better with every practise (which is why we practice). Hope you are all planning to come and hear us sing on Friday night 7pm- there will be left over Purdy's chocolate lollipops on sale for anyone who still has space left over for any chocolate after Easter!!
We have a big ocean life banner to pull together tomorrow for adding to the gym decorations. See you all Thursday.
