Tuesday April 14th

I trust everyone had a great Easter break because "hang onto your hat" it's going to get very busy.
Well, for a "Monday" that was a Tuesday after a long weekend, !!!! we sure had a strange but busy day. Holly and Kevin the performers of Voices of Nature arrived this morning and the intermediate grades practiced after recess the songs for the Friday concert. In the afternoon, we lined up the grades 4-7 students in the back field from tallest to smallest for the risers and we all marched into the gym in that order and sang for another hour the medley of songs we are doing as a whole school choir. Once everything and everyone settled, the students sounded great. Some of our girls auditioned for solo parts and I'd like to thank the grade sevens who took leadership roles leading the music choreography and lyric movements for the school

As for work today- we didn't have a lot of time but...Unit 23 is the spelling unit that will be tested on Thursday. The Vocab-u-lous worksheets C,D,E are to be completed this week. We did a quick preposition hunt form a French script which was well performed by Liam B. (merci, Liam, tres bien). We had approximately 20 minutes for plotting some coordinate points on a cartesien grid to introduce line segments for geometry. The "free-writing" we did this morning on the lyrics for our songs in the Voices of Nature will be formatted into good copy Wednesday. Even our reading time was a bit short!!

The girls' floor hockey game was cancelled tonight. The boys are playing a game now at the Garibaldi Highlands. Good Luck. That's it until tomorrow.

Send in any satisfaction or school calendar surveys. Keep 7 pm Friday night free on your calendar for coming to hear the Voices of Nature concert in our gym April 17th.
