Sorry folks need to be quick tonight so this post will be a little 'bare bones'

Reminders
Keep reading our class novel Touching Spirit Bear (approx. half of the students have now completed the second section of the novel)
Band concert on Monday Dec 16th (morning practice, afternoon dress rehearsal and evening 7pm concert for parents of grade 6/7 students
We welcomed back Sukhreet from an extended family trip (two students out, one returned and our new student from England seems to be settling in well :)

Personal planning - a look at bullying which included a spoken word performance by Shane Koyzkan called To This Day
This was a follw up the the presentation on Cyber Bullying that Mrs. Sherlock conducted yesterday and which we are completing tomorrow morning. Some students took the challenge to create some school posters on being aware and not bullying on-line.

Art
Several  projects underway:
Christmas or winter scene (nearly completed with these)
Brand new Christmas candy bar creation - partner or small group
And /or cyber- bullying posters
We listened to some jazzy Christmas Tunes (Christmas in New Orleans) while we worked.
