Oh my I am tried tonight- too much fresh air? Out at lunch and at the end of the school day to play baseball or soccer.
Homework
nothing new
Reminders
donations for the garage sale for camp fundraiser on Saturday??
grad hoodies have arrived and will be distributed tomorrow
Our day...
Daily French
Novel time (not like Hammer time!)
introduction to visual poetry samples and discussion about what it can look like- inspiration is a poem called Canspeak by Jack Booth which is in the shape of a maple leaf and inside contains all sorts of words and cultural references to Canada - it is very effective in red and white. Tomorrow at computers the students are set to try their own version using the Wordle program.
Math7 review of the vocabulary and the procedure to find the area and circumference of circles using pi as 3.14 (Chapter 8 Mathlinks 7)
We did a hands-on activtiy using string to measure: finding that no matter how big or small the circle is the results of dividing the circumference by the radius is always 6.28 and the circumference divided by the diameter is always 3.14
More tomorrow...
Gr 3-5 shot put - good news is lots of students showing up (58)- bad news is there are way too many to get an equal amount of practice time in.
Silent reading
good once we managed to settle
French
Les sports - un mots croisees avec les mots du sportage
Didn't have enough time to compelte (or really get the Puberty lesson follow up underway) as Mr.Parker's class asked us to join them for a game of baseball and/or soccer for those with no gloves (or just not that into a baseball game)
Another day under our belts
Have a great evening
Mrs. J.
