Sorry folks- funny how I get out of practice so quickly! I had to run to Don Ross tonight - pick up one son who had Turkey Trotted himself into a chain link fence- bit scraped up but he'll live. (The Turkey Trot is a high School District race).

Our class novel, The Giver - it is imperative that the students have read and taken notes to the END of chapter 10
Just had to mention the excellent show of the science booklet homework that was to be completed over the weekend- good job everyone only three to get (and two of those students were absent on Friday) :) Thanks
Thank-you to all parents who took the time to return the parent meeting forms- I'll post the date later this week.
New seating plan in effect tomorrow- let me know if your son or daughter is not a 'happy camper' sometimes they'll tell you but not me. I always post a new plan for student input so a couple have already asked me to 're-consider' and it is not a problem.
I am excited to share good news about our class spelling results. Unit 1, eleven students redid the test, Unit 2, eight students rewrote and last week, Unit 3 only three students need to have another go at it. That tells me that the students are taking it more seriously and using the study strategy. The results are impressive. The majority of students scored between 11 and 12 out of 12. The students are right to be proud of themselves.
It is a matter of study process over spelling skills- I know I need to explain this further- stay tuned.
