Tuesday - boy's basketball game today

Was a busy Tuesday today!
We started with our Olympic 'kick-off' which went very well thanks to the great organization of "SQUAMOC" our primary teachers committee who organized and made their ideas come alive. It was fun to watch the children cheering for each other (it's about all the Olympics some will see!!).
Although we heard today the Olympic torch will be passing the school Feb. 4th at approx. 9am so we should all get to cheer the Olympic flame on its way up to Whistler.

General Day
New seating plan went better than expected although we are all aware that a few 'tweaks' will be necessary so that's good news and easy to do :)

9am- 10am Family groups Olympic opening and 2 events- my group did the snowshoe and the bobsled- it was silly fun and I do think the students enjoyed themselves.
10-10:30 am quick update on schedule change, silent reading time to recess (and it was VERY productive and quiet :))
recess/snack
Math- review for how to solve multi-step problems- samples of Think-Pair-Share problems involving algebra, patterning and logic as well as arithmetic order
