Thursday - week is nearly done!!!

Oh, WAHHHH, my arm hurts and I feel like I am just bouncing around the class now not really getting very far- mind you I have just re-organized the desks into a new seating plan (probably # 412 :) LOL) . I'll see if it works tomorrow- Friday is a good day for a tester on new seats and groups. I'll let you know. Thanks to my students who gave some input on the group organization- I appreciate your insight and often your ideas are right on the pulse of the right combinations (after all you have been in classes some of you since Kindergarten). Thanks again.

Homework
was supposed to be Math and socials BUT
I messed that up really well- I was supposed to remind students to complete the worksheet we were doing in math today for Reflection- transformations but I was still 'yapping' about art when the bell for dismissal went and it was all I could do to hold back the masses from the door!!! Some remembered and came back (Thanks) but I'll just have to deal with the fall out tomorrow!!!
C'est la vie.
socials is project related- there will be time in class tomorrow and I need to complete the progress checks so students have been asked to bring their work to class.

General Day

spelling test unit 12
some reminders about 'horseplay' in the class and halls!!!
reading selection for comprehension (multiple choice answers and a written paragraph)- follow up tomorrow
Music with Mrs. McPhee
French- quiz on les parties du corps (body parts)
Math - reflections- using a line of reflection and a grid for precision, the students were to mirror image a given shape and give the new coordinates
Physical Education- basketball- Mr. Parker
DEAR reading time - getting better :)
Art- continued with the face card posters which are looking really good so far- I am so impressed with the creativity and artistic talent that these students have- I am very humbled with their skills and how they take ideas and improve them as well as make them a reality- very inspiring.
I would like to have them do a project for the Olympic display at Brennan Park... I'll need to get on that asap

See everyone tomorrow.
Mrs. J.
