Friday afternoon and I have no voice left but I think it went to a good cause!!!
A big thank-you to the grade seven team leaders who did an amazing job with your teams this year. We couldn't run sports day like this if it weren't for your leadershipe and enthusiasm. I am always grateful for how you step up to the palte :) Congratulations. You all looked the part too- very inspiring.
The format is mostly intended for everyone to have fun so we try not to make it uber competitive and I think most students had a great day- we lucked out on the weather- not too sunny and hot but warm and NO rain - yeah!!
Yesterday I was also impressed with the number of assignments that came out of the woodwork which showed me 2 things 1. many of my students DO care about their last efforts in grade seven and 2. they can do anything they set their mind to. I knew it but they really proved it- although now I have a bit more marking to do before running the reports- it's all good.
Have a great weekend everyone. Let's get creative and make some teamwork happen for the remaining time we have together. See you next week.
