No new homework but , boy, it sure is frustrating trying to keep up with all the incomplete assignments...I have had approximately a third of the class away for the last few days!!!
I have a class list that gives specific information of what assignments are not yet handed in...(a third of the class!) at a certain point I need to move on and that means students need to move on too! Accepting responsibility for work and its completion is a great way to prepare for grade eight.
We have started creation work on the brochures for social studies (used a half hour at computer lab today), completed the mini-review for geometry, reached chapter 3 in Word to Ceasar, are working on Unit26 in spelling and are onto 'J' letter worksheets in Vocab-u-lous assignments. The students are doing a great job on the Every Day Edit activities and are managing to find the errors in the short passages. Some of the tiling tesseleations are looking very colourful and eye-catching :)
Today we voted in class on the colour preferences for the Grade seven grad hoodies. They are being offered to the sevens for $25. We had some samples to try on today to make sure the sizes were accurate. Tomorrow there will be a Camp Update and I will be asking for payment to start to come in for the end of May.
Hope everyone has a good evening- see you tomorrow.
