I will try to be quick given that it is so late...
I ran out of school quickly tonight to get home as the blind installers were coming between 4 and 4:30pm. Then dinner, soccer practices are back on and I marked the spelling tests completely forgetting the blog - again!

Students who have not submitted a project are expected to hand in what they have completed asap in order that I can assess what they have completed!
FSA persuasive write tomorrow (grade 7)
A big thank-you to our class parent volunteer Mrs. Tatchell - if you are uncomfortable with the school providing our volunteers with your confidential phone numbers please just let us know. The class parent will be responsible for calling other parents in case of an emergency or a situation in which multiple calls to parents are required.
Our day
Well I am back in class but my voice is not 100% and it kind of weakened during the day especially the afternoon - the students were very patient with me as I tried to control my voice. I have never been more aware of how much I use my voice throughout the day.
Anyway...
Phys Ed - the students enjoyed the class game called 5x5x5
5 aside, 5 minutes, 5 games
It requires that they are paying attention to where they should be on a team and what game is being played. Great way to start the day.

I picked up the spelling tests from last week, today - marked them this evening
Proof reading activity The case of the frog Prince
20 writing errors in spelling in a fairy tale story. Students were to read and. Find the errors and write them correctly. Did not have enough time to complete this- follow up Tuesday.

Science activity continued from Thursday - group activity creating an introductory content poster for chemistry using the textbook for ideas of our curriculum content for the unit Ch 4-8 B.C. Science (see McGraw Hill Ryerson website for details)

Art
today I asked for the activities of the last couple of weeks to be completed and I provided a list of the activities which are not completed- my next job will be to compile a list of the students who need to hand in those activities for assessment.
Day went fast - I felt a little disorganized as I had not been in class since last Tuesday, never been away that long. 5 students were away today and I sure hope that they don't have the same virus as I have.
Have a good what is left of the night. Time for bed!
