I can't remember if I posted that our girl's volleyball team won first place in the recent tournament at Howe Sound and the boy's place tied for fourth at Don Ross. Congratulations to all players - we are (I am ) very proud of all of you.
There is no new homework today just the same as the last few days with the exception of the spelling tests which went ahead (both of them) today. The student marks are beginning to show improvement especially when they study- funny how that works!! :)
Over due work includes: the Term 2 goal sheet, the French weather poster and the linear equation sheet for math (Wednesday's class)
Reminder of our annual Christmas Writing day in the morning tomorrow (bring $$$ for stamps), 25c book sale for the Leadership class and return the Quadra Island commitment form if interested.
General Day
Spelling tests (units 9 and 10)
Grammar work on placing predicate before subject in sentences to create different sounding sentences in written work
Music with Mrs McPhee - Xmas concert practice has begun
Math - shorter math session today- had all students create their own reference Cartesian graph and mark the four quadrants and the pattern of the coordinates (x,y)
Science booklet for Chapter 8 information about the weathering processes of rock (mechanical and chemical) for use with text book.

Art- landscapes- a few are wasting the art time by being overly social- I will be bringing that into our next HK (house keeping) discussion!!
The end of day bell went before we were ready...que tempus fugit (how time flies)
