Tuesday September 15th

Short and sweet tonight folks.

Started CAT tests this morning with the spelling and vocabulary sections after a short language/grammar introduction to the eight parts of speech. Another text called Communicating Skills was distributed to students and we started into Unit 1 which looks in depth at nouns!! Fascinating stuff.

I started French today with both 6/7 classes and today was mostly conducted in English as we are still learning the organizational procedures for daily work. When I did French with Division 2 (Mr. Parker's group) Mr. Parker had my division in the gym for soccer. So far a questionnaire and title page has been accomplished for French. Some title pages are still in the works.

I have requested that the students read Chapter three in the novel for tomorrow - for some this is a homework assignment- see below.

Personal planning and art rounded out the day. Some housekeeping items had to ironed out like safety underfoot with student belongings littering the floor- this will be sorted out very soon as the students complete organising desks and class bins.

Busy day- went really fast. Time flies when your having fun...

Homework

Goals Sheets 6 still to get
Most have supplies now thank-you (binders & dividers)

See you all tomorrow.
Mrs. J.
